[Grade al-Ebtedaee – al-Sabeah] Regarding communication

Dear Parents,

The school thrives on making communication better, faster, and easier so that the least concerns/issues are unsolved or unattended. The key to communication is that it has to be two-sided.
Thus, the school would like to inform you that:
  • If a student is marked absent for a day or a period via the school app, parents can communicate with the respected teacher within two days. After that, the teacher will not be liable to answer that query.
  • If a student is on leave or absent, parents can request the class recording before the class begins. The school will only share the recording with those who have emailed on the class ID before the classes have begun.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.

World Environment Day

Dear Parents,

5th of June is celebrated as World Environment Day, and being responsible citizens of the world, we all should be doing our part for this planet where we live.
A group of volunteers from the Mumbai project collect plastics from Mumbai and recycle them (for details please find an attached image). The school will be collecting the plastics on the decided drop points on the 4th of June. We all know that the environment and all its living beings are affected severely because of one time used plastics. Therefore, we as responsible citizens should gather plastics not only from home but also from society and all neighbourhoods.
The school is aiming to collect 50kg of plastic. Each class can collect at least 5kg.
We urge our students and parents to participate and be a part of this initiative. Below are some directives provided by the Mumbai project; we request to please adhere to them:
1. All students/parents should collect and drop their plastics on Friday the 4th of June.
2. The plastics should be properly packed and sealed in a bag or box.
3. Assure that all the plastics gathered should be clean and tidy before packing.
4. Parents should make sure that the plastics containers containing food should be cleaned thoroughly before dropping.
Drop point and timings will be communicated via Class representatives.

[al Ebtedaee – al Awwalah] A thank you note

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Each and every parent this year has been a mountain of support, a flowing river of dedication, a torchlight that shone the way for their child throughout the course of the year.  Words are not enough to express how thankful we teachers are for your trust, love, kindness and untiring support towards every teacher and the entire school during this virtual academic year; throughout the course of the pandemic.
From being shoved into a dark, unknown, unchartered territory of online learning, taking baby steps to learn, to taking giant strides of mastery, the year took us through many ups and downs.
The virtual sessions of sports and art, the relentless pursuit of hands-on learning in all subjects, the ASSIGNMENTS, preparing Ashara Mubarakah, our Quiz programs, the individual projects, the cooking, preparation for the Tadreeb assessments, our virtual Annual Stage Program, and the fun in circle times, we all collectively experienced and learned a lot together, we all grew together.
The honest truth is, we have only been able to successfully achieve a year worth of virtual learning thanks to YOUR help, dedication, and participation.
We wholeheartedly appreciate your efforts during al Imtehan al Sanavi- managing your already busy schedule around your child’s papers,  encouraging them, assisting them, making sure they’re ready for each day’s paper- all dressed and with the needed materials, and finally uploading the papers online.
We applaud every single parent and thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Lots of Love,
From all the Teachers

Welcome back!

Ba’ad al Salaam al Jameel,

We are excited to welcome our children back to their academic schooling in this new year of 1442h.

For your child to make the most of each class, there are a few things we would like you to keep in mind:
1) Give your child something to eat before class so that they are able to refrain from munching on anything during class time.

2) Have your child use the bathroom before class so they do not feel the need to go during class.

3) Make sure your child’s water bottle is NEXT to them so they don’t need to leave the screen in order to drink water.

4) Make sure their camera is on at all times.

5) Kindly make sure their materials are ready BEFORE class. Lots of time is wasted searching for and bringing materials while class is going on.

6) Please make sure there is an adult in the vicinity of your child.

Also, kindly note that timings may be slightly changed in the near future, you will be provided with the new timetable prior to it be being implemented.

Niyaz e Husain AS

Dear parents,

Every year our children take part in different forms of Khidmat in Ashara Mubaraka which makes us proud immensely.

Continuing our noble tradition, this year, under the luminous Bayan Mubarak of al-Dai al-Ajal Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Aqa RA of the 3rd Waaz where Maula (RA) quoted Imam Jafer us Sadiq’s (AS) encouragement for Niyaz.

Imam (AS) states that when we partake in the Niyaz of one Mumin it is equal to feeding one lac people.

Therefore, We would request our parents and children to partake by contributing in Niyaz of Imam Husain (AS)

The Niyaz Amount will be done Araz in Hazrat Imamiyah in Khandala during Ashara Mubarakah, Insha Allah.

Contributions of any amount can be made to the respective class representatives
To Mulla Aziz bhai Maimoon at Husami Manzil, Mazagaon (9833509906) till 6:00pm, Tuesday, 25th August 2020.

Important announcement

Baad al Salaam al Jameel,

Dear Parents,

We appreciate how most of the parents make sure their child’s assignments are completed on time and are around during the online classes.

We would like to bring to your attention that we have observed that some students seem to be lagging behind in class, in terms of understanding of concepts in all the subjects, and this can directly be linked to the assignment not being conducted at home.

What is covered during the online classes is only a part of the actual class, they serve as an introduction at times as well. The reinforcement part can only be achieved by doing the assignments and reinforcing the matter learnt in class – at home.

Another thing that has been noticed is that sometimes, materials are not ready with the children during class time, which results in the child feeling left out- socially and academically. Also, when parents are not available, especially when they are needed, the child doesn’t absorb as much, due to technical reasons at times, or being distracted because of lack of discipline.

Please take care of the above-mentioned points and we assure you that if you work hand in hand with us, you will see improvement and progress in your child.

Class Observations

Dear Parents,
Recently there have been several observations regarding some habits of students during online classes.

  • School is observing that students are sleepy during their classes.
  • Students are snacking junk food during class time.
  • Either the students are late, or they take leaves between ongoing classes for the washroom.
Parents are requested to ensure that.
  • The child gets enough sleep during the night.
  • They have a healthy breakfast before they join the class.
  • If still munching is required, parents can provide them with dry fruits.
  • Sit with the child during the class if he/she needs assistance.
  • Parents should ensure that all the necessary elements for the period are accessible so that there are no delays.

Thank you
