As per the new regulations given by the government of Maharashtra, physical school shall restart from Monday 24th January 2022.

1. As per the government norms – we will resume school for grades 1-9.

Dear Parents,
We are planning to start physical activities for the pre-primary grades onsite.
The reason behind starting it onsite is so that students can have fun and stay fit at the same time. For the past two years, they have not yet met their fellow students and we want them to make new friends and play with them like old times.

In the below form, we have provided three options,
1. Two sessions conducted online (What we are doing currently)
2. One online session (30 mins) one offline session (30 mins)
3. One offline session (60 mins)

The timings for these sessions will be finalized after the decision for the offline sessions has been made.
The tentative venue for the offline sessions will be Saifee High School (Pydhoni).
The tentative time slots will be between 2:30pm to 4:00pm.

The final decision will be taken by school authorities.

Based on our observations, we have compiled a list of ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ for our virtual classrooms so that your child can reap the most benefit from these online learning sessions.

Do’s:

• The primary mode of communication between teachers and parents should be via email.
• As our children are young, we request you to be around your child at all times for support.
• Keep all the necessary materials with your child at all times during class.
• Keep the camera switched on at all times as your child’s face must be seen clearly.
• The microphone should be muted at all times and should only be turned on when the teacher asks the child to speak.
• Girls should have their hair tied neatly into two braids (plaits).
• Nails should be trimmed. No nail polish is allowed.
• Children should be seated properly.
• If the children are online from a mobile phone, then landscape mode is preferred.

Don’ts:

• No eating and drinking allowed during class. The children are allowed to have a water bottle near them for sipping if needed.
• The chatbox is to be used only by adults, not the students.

Dear Parents,

We appreciate how most of the parents make sure their child’s assignments are completed on time and are around during the online classes.

We would like to bring to your attention that we have observed that some students seem to be lagging behind in class, in terms of understanding of concepts in all the subjects, and this can directly be linked to the assignment not being conducted at home.

What is covered during the online classes is only a part of the actual class, they serve as an introduction at times as well. The reinforcement part can only be achieved by doing the assignments and reinforcing the matter learnt in class – at home.

Another thing that has been noticed is that sometimes, materials are not ready with the children during class time, which results in the child feeling left out- socially and academically. Also, when parents are not available, especially when they are needed, the child doesn’t absorb as much, due to technical reasons at times, or being distracted because of lack of discipline.

Please take care of the above-mentioned points and we assure you that if you work hand in hand with us, you will see improvement and progress in your child.

Recently there have been several observations regarding some habits of students during online classes.

• School is observing that students are sleepy during their classes.
• Students are snacking junk food during class time.
• Either the students are late, or they take leaves between ongoing classes for the washroom.
  Parents are requested to ensure that.
• The child gets enough sleep during the night.
• They have a healthy breakfast before they join the class.
• If still munching is required, parents can provide them with dry fruits.
• Sit with the child during the class if he/she needs assistance.
• Parents should ensure that all the necessary elements for the period are accessible so that there are no delays.
