Dear Parents,

Important Notice

[Grade 1] Instructions for physical school
- Maintain social distancing in school and in the school van.
- Wear masks all the time. (Students can label their masks)
- Sanitise hand frequently.
- In case of any symptoms or fever, parents should not send their child to school and apply for leave.
- Parents should arrange for pick up immediately if any symptoms are detected in school.
- Electronic gadgets, including smartwatches, will be confiscated if brought to school.
- Refrain using social media and devices at home. The school will monitor all the student social media account.
- The class timetable will be sent via class teacher ID.
- Snacks will be provided to the students during break time with maintaining the COVID-19 protocol.
- Not to rush in corridors.
- Students should bring their notebooks and coursebooks according to the timetable. Students can then leave the books in school with the class teacher.
- Students will not be allowed to leave the premises during school hours. A 24-hour prior notice needs to be provided to the school on the class email if there’s a change in pick up timings or person.
- Parents should provide a consent email to the school if the students are meant to leave alone or in a cab without an adult.
- Children should be dressed in a t-shirt, tracks\leggings and topi.
- All the girls have to have their hair tied neatly in two plaits. Boys’ hair needs to be cut short.
- Carry a Kurta\ Kurti for Quran classes.

[Sports] - Pre primary PE periods
Dear Parents,
We are planning to start physical activities for the pre-primary grades onsite.
The reason behind starting it onsite is so that students can have fun and stay fit at the same time. For the past two years, they have not yet met their fellow students and we want them to make new friends and play with them like old times.
In the below form, we have provided three options,
1. Two sessions conducted online (What we are doing currently)
2. One online session (30 mins) one offline session (30 mins)
3. One offline session (60 mins)
The timings for these sessions will be finalized after the decision for the offline sessions has been made.
The tentative venue for the offline sessions will be Saifee High School (Pydhoni).
The tentative time slots will be between 2:30pm to 4:00pm.
The final decision will be taken by school authorities.

We will have two batches, and they are divided in the following manner:
Per batch limit – 12 students (on first come first basis)

Batch 1 timings: 4.00 pm -5.00 pm
Only for Batch 1 students : (Reading time with Ms Mariyah Bahrainwala will be adjusted for the students opting for football training)

Tilawat al-Quran Sharaf in Bethak – Khandala
We take great pleasure in informing our Awwalah parents that the children will be bestowed with the Azeem Sharaf of beginning reciting al Quran al Kareem in the presence of Syedna AaliQadr Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS in Khandala on Monday i.e 4th January.
The child can be accompanied by one of the parents. Kindly note that Tilawat Sharaf would be at the start of the Bethak, and they will obtain Deedar Sharaf inshallah. Children and Parents have to leave the Bethak and proceed back to Mumbai as soon as the Tilawat is done.
- The children should wear Libas al-Anwar (Boys: Kurta Saya and golden topi and girls: Jhabal izar topi).
- The child and the parent accompanying them have to go for a COVID test at Dawoodi Masjid tomorrow i.e 3rd January between 8.00 AM to 10.30 AM.

‘Do’s and Don’ts’ for our virtual classrooms
Ba’ad al Salaam al Jameel,
Based on our observations, we have compiled a list of ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ for our virtual classrooms so that your child can reap the most benefit from these online learning sessions.
Do’s:
- The primary mode of communication between teachers and parents should be via email.
- As our children are young, we request you to be around your child at all times for support.
- Keep all the necessary materials with your child at all times during class.
- Dress code for the class: shirt/kurta or Kurti, pants, and a topi
- Keep the camera switched on at all times as your child’s face must be seen clearly.
- The microphone should be muted at all times and should only be turned on when the teacher asks the child to speak.
- Girls should have their hair tied neatly into two braids (plaits).
- Nails should be trimmed.
- Children should be seated properly.
- If the children are online from a mobile phone, then landscape mode is preferred.
Don’ts:
- No eating and drinking allowed during class. The children are allowed to have a water bottle near them for sipping if needed.
- The chatbox is to be used only by adults, not the students.

Qualifiers for round 3 – Grand quiz 1442H
Congratulations to all participants on completing the preliminary rounds of the Ashara Grand Quiz – 1442 H. Every single participant is a winner, a learner and an achiever.
Amongst them are these who have gained a unique opportunity to represent themselves and all their friends in ROUND 3, the culminating round.
We wish all students had great fun doing the activities in Round 2 and learning many important lessons from the Akhbar of Awliyaullah A.S. Indeed, their Akhbaar are for us Anwaar.

English Reading Class Policy

Dear parents,
We, here at Rawdat al Quran al Kareem, strongly believe in a child’s holistic development and all of our subjects are of utmost importance for us. Thus, we want to bring into your notice that English Reading Session is a part of our core curriculum.
According to the school policy, If a student is late for three days in a month s/he will be marked absent for a day.
Also, the school allows seven days of casual leaves for each academic year.
Missing English Reading Class for a day will be counted as LATE and shall fall in the above policy henceforth.

We are excited to welcome our children back to their academic schooling in this new year of 1442h.
For your child to make the most of each class, there are a few things we would like you to keep in mind:
1) Give your child something to eat before class so that they are able to refrain from munching on anything during class time.
2) Have your child use the bathroom before class so they do not feel the need to go during class.
3) Make sure your child’s water bottle is NEXT to them so they don’t need to leave the screen in order to drink water.
4) Make sure their camera is on at all times.
5) Kindly make sure their materials are ready BEFORE class. Lots of time is wasted searching for and bringing materials while class is going on.
6) Please make sure there is an adult in the vicinity of your child.
Also, kindly note that timings may be slightly changed in the near future, you will be provided with the new timetable prior to it be being implemented.

Every year our children take part in different forms of Khidmat in Ashara Mubaraka which makes us proud immensely.
Imam (AS) states that when we partake in the Niyaz of one Mumin it is equal to feeding one lac people.
Therefore, We would request our parents and children to partake by contributing in Niyaz of Imam Husain (AS)
The Niyaz Amount will be done Araz in Hazrat Imamiyah in Khandala during Ashara Mubarakah, Insha Allah.

Ashara Mubaraka Talaqqi sessions 1442H
Ba’ad al Salaam al Jameel,
Dear Parents,
The holy days of Ashara Mubaraka are upon us, and we wish to endeavor to make the most of these days in terms of not only listening to the bayanaat of Mawa’iz Husainiyah, but making them a part of who we are.
We are planning to keep 20-minute Waaz Talaqqi sessions for our children on a daily basis during these Mubarak days so that they can revisit the zikaro of each day, tentatively between 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

Important announcement
Baad al Salaam al Jameel,
Dear Parents,
We appreciate how most of the parents make sure their child’s assignments are completed on time and are around during the online classes.
We would like to bring to your attention that we have observed that some students seem to be lagging behind in class, in terms of understanding of concepts in all the subjects, and this can directly be linked to the assignment not being conducted at home.
What is covered during the online classes is only a part of the actual class, they serve as an introduction at times as well. The reinforcement part can only be achieved by doing the assignments and reinforcing the matter learnt in class – at home.
Another thing that has been noticed is that sometimes, materials are not ready with the children during class time, which results in the child feeling left out- socially and academically. Also, when parents are not available, especially when they are needed, the child doesn’t absorb as much, due to technical reasons at times, or being distracted because of lack of discipline.
Please take care of the above-mentioned points and we assure you that if you work hand in hand with us, you will see improvement and progress in your child.

Class Observations
Dear Parents,
Recently there have been several observations regarding some habits of students during online classes.
- School is observing that students are sleepy during their classes.
- Students are snacking junk food during class time.
- Either the students are late, or they take leaves between ongoing classes for the washroom.
Parents are requested to ensure that. - The child gets enough sleep during the night.
- They have a healthy breakfast before they join the class.
- If still munching is required, parents can provide them with dry fruits.
- Sit with the child during the class if he/she needs assistance.
- Parents should ensure that all the necessary elements for the period are accessible so that there are no delays.

- It has been our noble habit since past few years that our students proffer Waj`ebaat in the esteemed presence of al~Dai al~Ajal Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS.
To make the students mindful and adhere to this noble habit, this year the students are requested to practice the same ritual and add their Waje`baat amount according to their Niyyat along with their fathers/family Waaje`baat.
- On the auspicious of Milad al~Dai al~Ajal Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS students of Rawdat al Quran al Kareem can make a Tehniyat card and sent us a scanned copy of the card to the class teacher ID by Wednesday 21st shahre Ramadan 1441H, 13th May 2020.
